Inter Miami CF’s search for a first win at their new home hit a new low after a staggering 4–3 defeat to Orlando City SC, who completed a historic comeback in a chaotic Florida Derby.
Inter Miami appeared to have finally shaken off their early struggles at NU Stadium when they stormed into a 3–0 lead inside 33 minutes. Ian Fray struck in the 4th minute, Telasco Segovia added a second in the 25th, and Lionel Messi extended the advantage in the 33rd, leaving the home crowd in full voice.
### Collapse Begins Before the Break
The turning point came just before halftime when Martín Ojeda pulled one back in the 39th minute, igniting belief for Orlando and shifting the momentum.
What followed was a second-half onslaught. Ojeda struck again in the 68th minute, before completing his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the 78th minute to level the score at 3–3.
### Stoppage-Time Sting
With Inter Miami reeling and the match seemingly destined for a draw, Orlando delivered the decisive blow. Tyrese Spicer scored deep into stoppage time (90+3), sealing a dramatic turnaround that left the stadium stunned.
### Winless Run Continues
The defeat means Inter Miami remain without a victory in four matches at their new stadium—an alarming return for a team built on high expectations and star power.
### Orlando’s Derby Masterclass
For Orlando City, the comeback stands as one of the most memorable results in the rivalry. From three goals down, they showed resilience, composure and ruthless finishing to overturn the deficit.
### From Celebration to Shock
What began as a night of promise for Inter Miami quickly turned into a cautionary tale. A dominant start, a roaring crowd, and a three-goal cushion were not enough.
Instead, it ended in disbelief—another chapter in a difficult start at their new home, and a derby defeat that will linger long after the final whistle.
