Arsenal stars Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka have extended their best wishes to Nigeria’s Super Eagles as the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations kicks off in Morocco. Despite representing England at the international level, both players have Nigerian heritage and expressed their support for the team.
Eze shared a message on social media, stating, “Dear Nigerians, we wish you well in AFCON ❤️,” accompanied by a photo of himself and Saka.
The Super Eagles commenced their AFCON 2025 campaign with a 2–1 victory over Tanzania in their opening Group C match. They are set to face Tunisia on December 27 and Uganda on December 30 in the remaining group stage fixtures.
Head coach Eric Chelle emphasized the importance of focusing on the current tournament, urging the team to block out external distractions and concentrate on their development and objectives.
