Osimhen Suffers Suspected Forearm Fracture After Anfield Exit, Galatasaray Await Full Diagnosis

By Kazeem Ajibola Shoyebo

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen is facing an uncertain spell on the sidelines after sustaining a suspected forearm fracture during Galatasaray’s UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool FC at Anfield.

The striker was seen leaving the stadium with his right arm in a protective wrap, with initial medical scans reportedly confirming a fracture. However, the full extent of the injury and recovery timeline remain unclear, pending further assessment.

Osimhen’s injury occurred in the first half of the high-intensity encounter, forcing his early substitution and disrupting Galatasaray’s attacking structure in a match they eventually lost heavily.

The 25-year-old had been a key figure in the Turkish side’s Champions League campaign, and his absence was immediately felt as Liverpool seized control of proceedings at Anfield.

As of now, Galatasaray are yet to release a detailed official medical report, with further tests expected to determine the severity of the fracture, whether surgery will be required and a definitive recovery timeline.
