WIN BIG, BUILD THE FUTURE! FIFA26 Canada Launches 50/50 Draw to Boost Youth Soccer Nationwide

By Yomi Kuku, Toronto, Canada

FIFA26 Canada has unveiled a new 50/50 fundraising initiative that will give football fans in Ontario the chance to win a growing jackpot while helping fund youth soccer development and infrastructure projects across Canada ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™.

The campaign, officially launched as Canada prepares to co-host the expanded 48-team tournament next summer, will direct proceeds toward grassroots football programs and facility initiatives in host provinces including Ontario and British Columbia.

Under the format announced by FIFA26 Canada, supporters can purchase tickets online through fifaworldcup5050.ca, with half of the Ontario jackpot awarded to one winning ticket holder in Ontario.

The remaining proceeds will be invested directly into grassroots football initiatives through Canada Soccer’s Member Associations, including Ontario Soccer, with funding targeted toward youth participation and infrastructure development.

Organizers emphasized that FIFA26 Canada itself will not retain any proceeds from the draw.

Tickets will also be available at several major World Cup-related locations during the tournament, including Toronto Stadium, the FIFA Fan Festival™ Toronto, Canada Celebrates community sites and Canada Soccer House.

The fundraising campaign is designed to extend the impact of the FIFA World Cup beyond the tournament itself by helping create long-term opportunities for young players across the country.

“As the world’s best players take the field and inspire kids from coast-to-coast-to-coast, your ticket creates a positive, lasting impact that extends well beyond the tournament,” FIFA26 Canada said in its announcement.

The draw will remain open throughout the tournament and officially close at the final whistle of the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final on July 19. Winners are scheduled to be drawn and notified on July 20.

Canada is set to play a major role in the 2026 FIFA World Cup as co-host alongside the United States and Mexico. Toronto and Vancouver will host matches during the tournament, which is expected to become the largest World Cup in football history.

Officials hope the 50/50 initiative will help ensure the tournament leaves a lasting legacy for Canadian soccer by supporting local communities, youth participation and football infrastructure long after the final match is played.

The initiative also reflects broader efforts by Canada Soccer and local organizing bodies to capitalize on the unprecedented visibility and momentum surrounding the country’s biggest-ever football event.

With millions expected to follow the tournament across North America, organizers believe the campaign could generate significant financial support for the next generation of Canadian footballers while also giving fans a direct opportunity to participate in the World Cup experience.
