Pape Matar Sarr Set for Juventus Move in €30m Tottenham Deal

Juventus have reached an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for Senegal international midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, with the transfer set to be structured initially as a loan with a conditional obligation to buy.

The reported agreement would see the overall package reach around €30 million, with the final permanent transfer dependent on the agreed conditions. Sarr has reportedly given the green light to the move and wants to continue his career in Turin.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been at Tottenham since joining from Metz in 2021, initially returning to the French club on loan before moving permanently to London in 2022. He subsequently established himself as an important member of the Spurs squad and signed a long-term contract extension in January 2024.

Sarr was part of Senegal’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad and has developed into a versatile midfielder capable of contributing both defensively and in attack. Tottenham’s official profile previously highlighted his ability to operate as a No. 8 while performing defensive duties.

The move comes after Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that Sarr had expressed a desire to leave the club. Reports indicate Juventus moved quickly to secure the Senegalese midfielder after their other midfield options failed to materialise.
