Real Madrid continued their impressive run of form with a convincing 3–0 victory over Racing Santander at El Sardinero on Sunday, November 1, as Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Yan Diomande scored in the first half to secure a sixth consecutive win across all competitions.
José Mourinho’s men took control early, with Mbappé converting an 11th-minute penalty before Bellingham doubled the advantage ten minutes later. Diomande then produced a spectacular strike to put the result beyond Racing before the interval.
The breakthrough came after Matteo Prati brought down Mbappé inside the penalty area. The French forward stepped up and confidently converted from the spot to give Madrid the lead.
Bellingham extended the visitors’ advantage in the 21st minute following an excellent attacking move. Arda Güler released the England international with a perfectly weighted pass behind the Racing defence, allowing him to round goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala before calmly rolling the ball into an empty net.
The goal was a significant milestone for Bellingham, taking his tally to 50 goals in a Real Madrid shirt. He also delivered an influential all-round performance, contributing defensively and helping drive Madrid’s attacking play.
Diomande supplied the highlight of the afternoon five minutes before half-time. After Madrid’s corner was partially cleared, the Ivorian forward collected the rebound near the edge of the area and unleashed a powerful right-footed volley into the top corner to make it 3–0.
Racing attempted to respond after the break but struggled to break down Madrid’s defence. Mbappé came close to adding a fourth when his effort struck the post, while Bellingham also threatened before having a late goal ruled out for offside.
The hosts briefly appeared to have an opportunity to reduce the deficit when referee José Luis Munuera Montero awarded them a penalty for a handball against Aurélien Tchouaméni in the 71st minute. However, after a VAR review, the decision was overturned, with the contact deemed unintentional following a deflection off the midfielder himself.
Madrid comfortably managed the closing stages to claim all three points and extend their winning sequence to six matches, having scored 18 goals during that run.
The victory leaves Real Madrid third in the LaLiga standings on 27 points, three behind leaders Barcelona and one adrift of second-placed Atlético Madrid. Racing remain 16th, just one point above the relegation zone.
Mbappé’s continued scoring form, Bellingham’s landmark achievement and Diomande’s growing influence provided further evidence of Madrid’s attacking strength as Mourinho’s side maintained their pursuit of the league leaders.
