Ademola Lookman is hitting form at the right time for Atalanta, scoring in back-to-back matches to help his side snap an eight-match Serie A winless streak.
The Nigerian international followed up his Champions League goal against Eintracht Frankfurt with another clinical finish in Atalanta’s 2-0 home victory over Fiorentina on Sunday.
Lookman capitalized on a defensive lapse in the 51st minute, rifling home a loose ball after a failed clearance from a corner, doubling Atalanta’s lead after Odilon Kossounou’s opener.
The goal marked Lookman’s second in Serie A this season and his third across all competitions. [3] His recent performances have been pivotal in Atalanta’s resurgence under new manager Raffaele Palladino, who took over from Ivan Juric earlier this month.
Atalanta now prepares to face Hellas Verona on December 6, aiming to build on their recent momentum.
