AS FAR Rabat produced a vital performance as they edged JS Kabylie 1–0 in a CAF Champions League Group B encounter at the Stade Olympique de Rabat on Saturday evening.
In a tightly contested match, the Moroccan side eventually broke the deadlock in the second half thanks to Hamza Khabba’s decisive goal, handing AS FAR their first victory of the group stage and boosting their hopes of progressing to the knockout phase. (
The match started with both teams probing for early opportunities, but it was AS FAR who looked the more threatening. Despite resilient defending from the Algerian visitors, Khabba found the breakthrough after the interval, his strike proving enough to secure all three points for the hosts.
JS Kabylie, who had earlier struggled for results in the group, battled hard but were unable to convert their chances, leaving them still searching for a first win in the competition.
The victory moves AS FAR up the Group B standings and strengthens their bid to reach the knockout rounds, while JS Kabylie remain under pressure as they seek to climb out of the lower reaches of the group.
