HEARTBREAKING: Tenerife Striker Jesús de Miguel Dies Aged 30 After On-Field Collision

Terrible news from Spain. CD Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel has tragically passed away at the age of 30 after suffering serious injuries in a collision with FC Andorra goalkeeper Jesús Owono during Monday’s match.

Despite receiving emergency medical attention and being rushed to hospital, the forward’s condition deteriorated, and he sadly could not overcome the consequences of the incident.

In an official statement, CD Tenerife confirmed his passing, announcing:

“CD Tenerife deeply regrets the death of our player Jesús de Miguel Alameda, who passed away this morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Hospital Universitario Nuestra Señora de Candelaria.”

The club expressed its deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones, while thanking everyone who had shown support and solidarity during the difficult hours.

His passing has sent shockwaves through Spanish football, leaving teammates, supporters and the wider football community in deep mourning.

Born in Madrid on September 21, 1996, De Miguel built his career through perseverance and years of hard work across Spain’s lower divisions.

He developed through the youth system at Leganés before representing several clubs, including Fuenlabrada, Unión Adarve, Navalcarnero and Unionistas de Salamanca.

His career took a significant step forward after joining CD Castellón in January 2023.

He scored 25 goals during his time at Castellón, becoming an important part of the club’s promotion-winning campaign.

His outstanding 2023–24 season included 16 goals, helping Castellón secure promotion to the second division.

In July 2025, he joined CD Tenerife, where he continued his progress as a centre-forward.

His 11 goals during Tenerife’s promotion-winning campaign helped the Canary Islands side secure a return to Spain’s second tier.

At the age of 30, De Miguel had established himself in professional football after working his way through several levels of the Spanish game.

A devastating loss for CD Tenerife and the entire football family.
