The Turkish playmaker capped an impressive night for Madrid with a stunning long-range effort late in the match, noticing the goalkeeper was off his line before calmly attempting an audacious strike that sailed into the net. Speaking after the game, Güler said the decision to shoot came naturally once he spotted the opportunity.
“I saw the goalkeeper, he wasn’t in a good position, so I tried and scored,” the midfielder said with a smile after the match.
