Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has reportedly demanded sweeping financial rewards, luxury benefits, and unprecedented control over Nigeria’s national team in a leaked contract proposal submitted to the Nigeria Football Federation.
The document, dated January 22, 2026, outlines 19 conditions Chelle wants approved before committing his long-term future to the Super Eagles.
Among the headline requests is a $130,000 monthly salary package, official accommodation in a secure area with constant electricity, and a private SUV with chauffeur and security.
Chelle also proposed complete authority over player invitations and match scheduling, shielding technical decisions from external influence.
The coach further requested international travel arrangements for his family, scouting budgets, modern office facilities, and guaranteed salary payments without delays.
He also wants formal contracts for his backroom staff and the creation of structured development pathways across all national teams.
The NFF has yet to publicly confirm the authenticity of the leaked proposals.
If verified, the demands would represent one of the most comprehensive and expensive coaching packages ever proposed in Nigerian football history.
The situation adds a new dimension to ongoing negotiations between Chelle and the federation over the future direction of the Super Eagles.
