Inter Toronto Football Club have confirmed the addition of Nigerian-Canadian defender Eyimofe Jemerigbe to Inter Toronto II ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.

The 20-year-old centre-back joins through the club’s player development pathway programme and is expected to strengthen the squad with his athleticism, defensive awareness and ability to operate in a high defensive line.

Born in Nigeria and also eligible for Canada, Jemerigbe stands at 6’2” and is regarded for his recovery speed, anticipation and composure in possession. Club officials described him as a physically dominant defender capable of covering large spaces and controlling defensive situations early.

Before arriving in Toronto, Jemerigbe developed through several football systems across multiple countries, featuring for Dynaspro Football Academy, Juventus Academy Nigeria, Spanish side CF Fuenlabrada and Canadian outfit ProStars FC.

The defender said joining Inter Toronto represents an opportunity to continue improving in a professional and demanding environment.

“Representing Inter Toronto means being accountable every day, both on and off the field,” Jemerigbe said. “It’s about bringing consistency, professionalism and a strong work ethic to training and matches while continuing to push myself to improve every day.”

Inter Toronto stated that Jemerigbe has continued to develop within the club’s structured environment, with a focus on refining both the tactical and physical aspects of his game.

Known for his positioning, movement efficiency and ability to win defensive duels, Jemerigbe has also placed strong emphasis on technical improvement and personal development as he targets a future move into European professional football.

The young defender is expected to play a key role for Inter Toronto II during the upcoming Ontario Premier League season as he continues his progression within the club’s pathway system.
