OFFICIAL: ASTON VILLA COMPLETE €55M SIGNING OF IBRAHIM MBAYE FROM PSG

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Senegal international Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent transfer, with the highly rated teenager becoming the latest major addition to Unai Emery’s squad.

The transfer has been confirmed by both clubs, bringing an end to Mbaye’s eight-year association with PSG, where he joined the academy at the age of 10 and progressed through every level before establishing himself in the first team.

The reported value of the deal is €55 million, although the exact financial structure was not disclosed in the clubs’ official announcements. Reports indicate that PSG value the overall package at around €60m when additional payments are taken into account.

Born in Trappes on January 24, 2008, Mbaye made PSG history in August 2024 when, aged 16 years, six months and 23 days, he became the youngest player to start a Ligue 1 match for the club. He subsequently signed his first professional contract in 2025.

The Senegalese forward leaves Paris having made 42 first-team appearances and collected an extraordinary eight major trophies, including two Champions League titles, two Ligue 1 titles, two UEFA Super Cups, the Coupe de France and the Intercontinental Cup.

Mbaye also became a full Senegal international after progressing through France’s youth system. He switched his international allegiance to Senegal in 2025 and has since earned 15 caps and scored four goals, according to PSG’s official record.

His arrival adds another young attacking option to Emery’s Aston Villa squad as the club continues to reshape its team for domestic and European competition.
