Nottingham Forest have agreed to appoint Vitor Pereira as their new head coach until the end of the current season, as the Premier League strugglers attempt to stabilise their campaign.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager will return to the English top flight after reaching an agreement with Forest’s hierarchy. The club is expected to confirm the appointment officially following the completion of contractual formalities.
Pereira’s arrival comes amid a turbulent period at the City Ground, with Forest hovering near the relegation zone and battling to secure their Premier League status. The managerial change follows the departure of their previous head coach as the club seeks immediate results in the closing stretch of the season.
The Portuguese tactician brings recent Premier League experience, having previously managed Wolves, where he oversaw a relegation fight before parting ways earlier this season. Forest are banking on his familiarity with the league’s demands and his track record in high-pressure situations to steer them clear of danger.
Club sources indicate that Pereira’s contract runs through the remainder of the current campaign, with his long-term future likely to depend on Forest’s league survival.
