Paris Saint-Germain produced a commanding display in London, defeating Chelsea FC 3–0 at Stamford Bridge to secure an emphatic 8–2 aggregate victory and advance to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Holding a comfortable first-leg advantage, PSG wasted no time extinguishing any hopes of a Chelsea comeback, striking twice inside the opening 15 minutes to take full control of the tie.
The visitors made a blistering start as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 6th minute, finishing clinically to extend PSG’s aggregate lead. Moments later, Bradley Barcola doubled the advantage in the 14th minute, capitalizing on defensive lapses to leave Chelsea facing an uphill battle.
With the tie effectively settled before halftime, PSG dictated the tempo, controlling possession and limiting Chelsea to few clear-cut chances.
Chelsea attempted to respond, with the home side pushing forward in search of a lifeline, but PSG’s defensive organization and midfield dominance ensured the hosts never gained real momentum.
The French champions remained dangerous on the counterattack, consistently exploiting spaces left by Chelsea’s high line.
PSG added a third goal in the 62nd minute through substitute Senny Mayulu, putting the result beyond doubt and completing a comprehensive performance on the night.
The goal capped off a ruthless display that highlighted the gulf between the two sides across both legs.
Under head coach Luis Enrique, PSG demonstrated their pedigree as defending champions, combining attacking precision with tactical discipline to dismantle their English opponents.
For Chelsea, the defeat marks a disappointing end to their European campaign, as they were outclassed over both legs and unable to cope with PSG’s intensity and quality.
