Wolves Condemn Racist Abuse Targeting Arokodare After Crystal Palace Clash
Wolverhampton Wanderers have strongly condemned racist abuse directed at forward Tolu Arokodare on social media following Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace in South London.
In an official statement published on the club’s website, Wolves denounced the incident and reaffirmed their zero-tolerance stance on discrimination.
“There is no place for racism in football, online, or anywhere in society. We condemn this abhorrent and unlawful behaviour in the strongest possible terms,” the club said.
The club emphasized its full backing for the Nigerian international, stressing that no player should be subjected to abuse simply for performing their professional duties.
“Tolu has our full and unwavering support. No player should be subjected to such hatred simply for doing their job. We stand firmly with him, and with all footballers who are forced to endure abuse,” the statement added.
### Arokodare speaks out
Arokodare also voiced his anger and disappointment, describing the situation as unacceptable in modern football.
“It is unbelievable that we are playing football at a time when people feel they have so much freedom to express such racism without any consequences,” he wrote.
“This individual should have no place in our game. Collectively, we have to take action to punish anyone who taints the sport like this, no matter who they are.”

Wolves confirmed they have reported the abusive posts to relevant social media platforms and are working with the Premier League and authorities to identify those responsible.
The club reiterated its commitment to combating discrimination, concluding: “We will continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of discrimination.”

Other Premier League clubs have also expressed support for Arokodare and joined Wolves in condemning racism, as calls grow louder for stronger measures to tackle abuse and protect players.
