Vancouver Rise FC, reigning champions of the Northern Super League (NSL), have announced a key leadership change ahead of their second professional season. Club President Sinead King is stepping down after playing a pivotal role in building Vancouver’s first professional women’s soccer team.
King led Rise FC through a historic inaugural NSL campaign that culminated in a championship win. Under her leadership, the club quickly became a community fixture and a beacon of potential for professional women’s soccer in the region.
“The club thanks Sinead for her significant contributions in establishing Vancouver Rise FC,” the organization said in a statement. “We wish her continued success in her future endeavors.”
As the club navigates this transition, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC executive team will provide strategic and operational support. However, both clubs affirmed that they will continue to operate as independent entities.
Rise FC reiterated its unwavering commitment to fans, partners, and the broader mission of advancing women’s professional soccer in Canada. The club enters Season 2 aligned with the NSL’s long-term vision, supported by dedicated ownership and leadership aimed at sustainable growth.
