“We’re Leaving, But Liverpool Stays With Us” — Salah’s Heartfelt Farewell

Liverpool legend Mohamed Salah has delivered an emotional farewell message to supporters, revealing that even his children refuse to stop supporting the Reds despite his departure from Anfield.

Speaking about his love for the club and city, Salah admitted Liverpool will always remain part of his family’s identity long after his playing career there comes to an end.

“The club means everything. The people mean everything, the city means everything,” Salah said.

“I will always love this club. I will always support it.”

The Egyptian superstar then shared a touching conversation with his children that perfectly captured the family’s connection to Liverpool.

“My kids will always support it and even when I talk to them now, I tell them like, ‘We’re leaving Liverpool,’ they say, ‘Well, we’re going to support the club even when you leave.’”

Salah joked that he tried convincing them to follow whichever club he joins next, but their loyalty remained firmly with Liverpool.

“I say, ‘We’re not going to support my new club?’ They say, ‘No, we love Liverpool. We’re going to support Liverpool. We’re not going to support anything else.’”

“I say, ‘OK, fine.’”

The heartfelt comments have already sparked an emotional reaction among Liverpool supporters, many of whom regard Salah as one of the greatest players in the club’s modern history.

Since arriving at Anfield in 2017, Salah has become a transformational figure for Liverpool, helping lead the club to Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup glory.

Beyond the trophies, the forward built a unique bond with supporters through his loyalty, consistency and record-breaking goalscoring exploits, cementing his place among Liverpool’s all-time greats.

Even as his chapter at Anfield comes to a close, Salah’s words made one thing clear — the connection between his family and Liverpool will never fade.
