Doku Laments City Slip as Everton Thriller Hits Title Hopes

By Rasheed Adewuyi, New York.

Manchester City winger, Jeremy Doku has admitted that it is painful to drop points against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium after the Premier league dramatic 3–3 draw on Monday night.

The Premier League encounter delivered drama and intensity, with both sides trading goals in a contest that never fully tilted in City’s favour despite their attacking threat.

“It’s a tough one to take because we let points slip,” Doku told Sky Sports after the match.

The result leaves City reflecting on missed opportunities as the title race continues to tighten, with Arsenal currently holding a six-point advantage at the top of the table.

“There are still plenty of games left, so we have to stay focused and keep going,” he added.

Despite the setback, the Belgian winger insisted that the squad remains determined to push forward and respond in the coming fixtures.
“We’ll keep fighting and give everything for ourselves and the fans,” he said.

With this result, Arsenal sit five points ahead of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal have 76 points from 35 matches, while Manchester City have 71 points from 34 matches

Doku also pointed to the unpredictable nature of the title race, suggesting that further twists could still shape the outcome before the season concludes.
