Victor Moses Completes Move to Kazakhstan’s FC Kaisar in New Career Step

By Kazeem Ajibola Shoyebo

Super Eagles legend and former Chelsea star Victor Moses has officially signed with FC Kaisar of the Kazakhstan Premier League, continuing his long and varied professional career at the age of 35. The move was confirmed on Saturday by the Kazakh club, which welcomed the Nigerian international as a key addition to its squad for the remainder of the season and beyond.

FC Kaisar, also known as Kaysar Kyzylorda, made the announcement on its official social media channels, highlighting Moses’s vast experience and leadership qualities. The club described the former Nigerian international as “a footballer known for his high-level experience after performing in a number of European clubs” and said his arrival reflects its ambition ahead of the second half of the Kazakhstan Premier League season.

Moses’s professional journey began at Crystal Palace before he moved to Wigan Athletic and then secured a high-profile transfer to Chelsea in 2012. During his nine years with the London club he won several major honours, including the Premier League title, the FA Cup, and the Europa League, and was an integral part of Antonio Conte’s title-winning squad in the 2016/17 season.

Throughout his career Moses enjoyed multiple loan spells and permanent moves across Europe, featuring for notable sides such as Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce, Inter Milan, and Spartak Moscow. He most recently played for Luton Town in the English Football League Championship during the 2024-25 campaign, making 18 appearances and scoring one goal before leaving the club after its relegation from the Championship.

Moses also boasts a distinguished international career with the Super Eagles, helping Nigeria to victory at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, where he earned a place in the official Team of the Tournament. His leadership and experience have made him one of the most respected Nigerian footballers of his generation.

The Kazakhstan Premier League represents a fresh challenge for Moses, who will bring his veteran presence and competitive edge to a FC Kaisar side aiming to improve its league standing and make a statement domestically. Supporters and analysts will be watching closely to see how the former Premier League and Europa League winner adapts to football in Central Asia.
