Stade Malien have sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League following a crucial victory against Esperance Sportive de Tunis in Group D. The Malian side’s strong campaign continued as they secured full points in Bamako, strengthening their position at the top of the group.
At Stade du 26 Mars, Stade Malien outplayed ES Tunis with a 1–0 win, courtesy of a well-timed goal from Daouda Coulibaly in the 54th minute, a strike that ultimately proved decisive in the contest.
The result lifted Stade Malien’s Group D tally to 11 points, far enough clear of their rivals and mathematically ensuring they finish among the top two — enough to progress to the knockout stage. In contrast, ES Tunis remain on 6 points, with qualification now out of reach and heading into the final matchday as outsiders.
