It was a night of Nigerian brilliance in the UEFA Champions League as Raphael Onyedika and Ademola Lookman both scored when Club Brugge and Atletico Madrid battled to a thrilling 3–3 draw.
Onyedika produced one of his finest European performances, scoring and providing an assist in a commanding midfield display that drove Club Brugge’s challenge against the Spanish giants.
The Nigerian midfielder showed composure, intelligence, and attacking instinct, stepping up when his team needed inspiration on one of football’s grandest stages.
At the other end, Lookman ensured Atletico Madrid had their own Nigerian hero, finishing clinically to continue his rich vein of form and demonstrate his growing confidence in Europe.
The Super Eagles forward once again proved his ability to deliver in big moments, adding another important goal to his season tally.
