By Yomi Kuku, Toronto Canada

As excitement builds for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, African football fans are encouraged to prepare early for the global tournament set to take place from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across 16 host cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

With Africa set to be represented by *nine national teams—including powerhouses like Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, Egypt, and others—supporters across the continent now have the opportunity to secure their seats and follow their teams on football’s biggest stage.

Ticket Application Now Open

The Random Selection Draw phase for ticket applications remains open until Tuesday, 13 January 2026 at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET). Fans are advised that the *timing of their ticket request does not impact their chances*—all entries within the window are treated equally.

To enter, visit FIFA.com/tickets. A FIFA ID is required, and those without one can create an account directly on the platform.

Affordable Pricing for African Fans

In a welcome move aimed at affordability, FIFA has introduced a special “Supporter Entry Tier”, with match tickets priced at just USD $60, including for the final. This initiative aims to make it easier for fans, including those from African nations, to cheer their teams in person.

PMA Supporter Tickets Available

Fans hoping to follow specific African national teams—such as Ghana, Algeria, or Ivory Coast—can also apply for Participating Member Association (PMA) Supporter Tickets. Eligibility and criteria vary by country, and fans must meet their national FA’s requirements to qualify.

Visit FIFA.com/tickets to check eligibility and submit an application.

Hospitality & Travel Packages

For supporters seeking premium matchday experiences, hospitality packages are available through FIFA.com/hospitality in partnership with On Location, FIFA’s official hospitality provider.

Qatar Airways is also offering all-inclusive travel packages, combining match tickets, hotel stays, flights, and transport for a seamless World Cup journey.

Next Steps for African Fans

– Apply for tickets via FIFA.com/tickets before 13 January 2026
– Create or log into your FIFA ID
