Kylian Mbappé Arrives in Morocco to Attend AFCON Clash Between Morocco and Mali

French football star Kylian Mbappé has arrived in Rabat, Morocco, to attend the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 Group A match between Morocco and Mali, scheduled for December 26 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex. The Real Madrid forward was personally invited by his close friend and former Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Achraf Hakimi.

Mbappé, accompanied by his family, is in Morocco during his holiday break from LaLiga. His presence is seen as a gesture of support for Hakimi and the Moroccan national team, known as the Atlas Lions.

Hakimi, currently recovering from an ankle injury sustained while playing for Paris Saint-Germain, is expected to have a limited role in the upcoming match. Morocco’s head coach, Walid Regragui, has expressed confidence in the team’s depth and readiness for the fixture.

Morocco opened their AFCON 2025 campaign with a 2-0 victory over Comoros, featuring goals from Brahim Diaz and Ayoub El Kaabi. A win against Mali would secure their place in the knockout stages of the tournament.

Mbappé’s attendance at the match underscores the camaraderie between international football stars and highlights the significance of AFCON as a premier football competition.

The match between Morocco and Mali is set to be a pivotal encounter in Group A, with both teams aiming to advance to the next round. Fans eagerly anticipate the outcome, as well as the potential impact of high-profile supporters like Mbappé on the tournament’s atmosphere.
