By Kazeem Ajibola Shoyebo

Victor Osimhen delivered another title-winning masterclass on Saturday night as Galatasaray defeated Antalyaspor 4-2 to clinch their historic 26th Turkish Süper Lig crown.

The Nigerian striker scored twice in a dramatic encounter at RAMS Park, leading Galatasaray to a fourth consecutive league title and cementing his status as one of the club’s most influential players this season.

Galatasaray were pushed hard by Antalyaspor in an entertaining contest that saw the visitors twice take the lead before the champions mounted a powerful comeback in front of their home supporters.

Osimhen stepped up when it mattered most, netting a decisive brace to swing momentum back in Galatasaray’s favour during the second half. The Super Eagles forward once again showed his trademark determination by playing through discomfort while wearing both a protective hand brace and his familiar face mask.

The Istanbul giants eventually sealed a thrilling 4-2 victory, sparking emotional celebrations inside RAMS Park as supporters celebrated another dominant domestic campaign.

The triumph marks Galatasaray’s 26th Turkish league title — extending their record as the most successful club in Turkish football history — while also equalling the club’s previous achievement of four straight league championships between 1996 and 2000.

Osimhen’s latest heroics added to what has been a remarkable campaign for the Nigerian international, whose goals and leadership have repeatedly delivered in crucial moments throughout the season.

The former Napoli striker has become a fan favourite in Istanbul for his relentless work rate, physical presence and ability to produce under pressure, qualities once again on display during the title-clinching victory.

Galatasaray’s success also ensured they finished ahead of fierce rivals Fenerbahçe in another fiercely contested title race.
