Chiamaka Nnadozie Clinches Third Consecutive CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been voted the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award winner for the third consecutive year, solidifying her position as one of Africa’s premier shot-stoppers.

Nnadozie’s exceptional performances were pivotal in Nigeria’s triumphant campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). Her leadership and resilience were on full display as the Super Falcons secured their record-extending 10th WAFCON title, defeating hosts Morocco 3-2 in a thrilling final.

At the club level, Nnadozie concluded a successful tenure with Paris FC, where she was instrumental in their Coupe de France Féminine victory. Her outstanding performances earned her the UNFP Division 1 Féminine Goalkeeper of the Season award, marking her as the first African player to receive this honor.

By securing the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third time in a row, Nnadozie becomes the first goalkeeper to achieve this feat, highlighting her consistent excellence and dedication to the sport.
