Daniel Daga Signs New Molde Contract Until 2031

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga has committed his long-term future to Norwegian club Molde FK, signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031.

The 19-year-old has been rewarded with the new deal after making steady progress since joining Molde ahead of the 2025 season. According to reports on the new agreement, Daga has made 22 official appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist for the Norwegian side.

Daga expressed his delight at extending his stay, saying he feels comfortable at Molde and believes the club provides the right environment for his continued development.

Molde sporting director Ole Jakob Strandhagen also backed the Nigerian’s potential, describing him as a young and ambitious player who has qualities that already make him important to the team while possessing significant room for further development.

The contract extension represents another significant step in Daga’s European career and gives the former Nigerian youth international a long-term platform to establish himself in Norwegian football.

Molde had previously confirmed that Daga was available to return to competitive football following his unanimous acquittal in a criminal case by Norway’s Frostating Court of Appeal, while noting at the time that the judgment was not yet legally final.
